40 CANS FOR LENT — LENT MISSION PROJECT

February 14 — March 31, 2024

Remember those who are hungry and food insecure in our community and state. 

Did you know that recent household survey data show that a staggering 1 in 6 New Hampshire households, most of them with children, are food insecure, meaning they lack regular access to enough food for an active, healthy life.  (according to the NH Food Alliance, a program of the UNH Sustainability Institute.)

Plan on bringing one non-perishable food item for every day during Lent – 40 days, excepting Sundays.  Every Sunday is considered a “little Easter”

PUMPKIN PATCH COORDINATORS NEEDED!

We are still looking for coordinators for the pumpkin patch.  The boy scouts have agreed to take a bigger role this year, so our coordinator will have more support and fewer responsibilities.    This week we’re also looking for volunteers to help with our nomination committee.  This committee is involved with finding and coordinating people from the church to fill the various mission positions.  If you’re a people person, this one is for you.  Thank you for considering these.  Feel free to contact Sally Horan shoran@gmail.com  or the church office office@bowmillsumc.org with any questions.
