OUR 12TH YEAR AS THE PUMPKIN CHURCH!

Giving to Our Community With the Annual Pumpkin Patch

Over the past 12 years, Bow Mills UMC and its members support local and worldwide missions through our Annual Pumpkin Patch. In early October, a tractor trailer arrives loaded with pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes. Church members young and old along with high school volunteers help to unload, sort and stack the pumpkins on pallets.

Church members volunteer time to "man the patch" throughout the month of October, count daily totals, place pallets, advertise, clean up at the end of the month and most of all, lend prayers for a successful season.

There will be 15 minute selling training on:

  • September 18th at 11:30 (or after the second service),

  • September 25th at 9:00 (or after first service and before Sunday School),
  • September 23rd in the morning, every half hour between 9 and 11:30 and
  • September 30th in the morning, every half hour between 9 and 11:30.

The pumpkins will be here October 3rd. We will have an unloading party including fellowship, laughter, pizza and UMW desserts! Look for more information soon!

For more information speak with our pumpkin leaders: Susan Libby-Andrews and Becky Gilbert.
