Bow Mills recently became a Partner Congregation with the United Methodist Economic Ministry in Maine.

 

This is a brand new project for the BMUMC and the Missions Committee. John Blackadar is our liaison for this mission endeavor and is a very passionate spokesperson.

 

During the course of our year, our church will be committed to perform 8-10 items to meet the requirements of Partner Congregation. We already perform several, but one item that we are hoping to make an annual event is a “Volunteers in Mission” project, aka VIM project for UMEM. Our first effort in this endeavor will be this summer.

 

VIM Trip to UMEM in Maine

 

Dates: July 8-14, 2018

 

Cost: $250/person, $50 registration fee

 

Deadline: July 1, 2018

 

We will be travelling to Maine and will spend a week painting, roofing, constructing, sorting clothing and furniture for the thrift shop and other undetermined jobs at this time.
